The Project

Mrs Thompson contacted us looking to refresh her garden in Croydon with a more defined and user-friendly layout. The existing garden path was worn and lacked clear structure, while the lawn had become uneven and patchy over time.

The aim was to create a clean, attractive pathway that connected the garden spaces, while also revitalising the lawn area to provide a neat and welcoming outdoor environment.

Our Recommendation

Following an initial consultation and assessment of the garden’s condition, we recommended the installation of a resin bound path—a durable, low-maintenance solution that offers both visual appeal and slip resistance. This would form a clear route through the garden while complementing the surrounding landscape.

To rejuvenate the lawn, we proposed removing the existing grass and laying down new, high-quality turf.

The Installation

We began by marking out the layout for the new path, ensuring it would flow naturally with the garden’s existing features. The ground was excavated to the correct depth and a stable sub-base was laid. We then installed the resin bound surface, carefully smoothing it to achieve a clean, consistent finish.

With the path complete, we turned our attention to the lawn. The old turf was stripped away, the ground levelled, and fresh topsoil spread to promote healthy growth. We then laid and rolled out the new turf, ensuring firm contact with the soil beneath for optimal rooting.

The Result

In just two days, the garden was transformed. The resin-bound path now provides a clear, attractive walkway that enhances both the appearance and functionality of the space. The new turf has given the garden a fresh feel, creating a green area ready for immediate use.
