The Project

Mr and Mrs Williams contacted us to carry out a complete transformation of the exterior of their property on the Eltham and Sidcup border. Their existing driveway and garden areas had become tired and difficult to maintain, and they wanted a fresh new look that would improve both the practicality and appearance of the space.

They were looking for a smart new driveway, improved boundary definition through new walls, and a fully turfed garden area to create a clean, attractive outdoor environment that could be enjoyed all year round.

Our Recommendation

After a detailed site survey, we recommended installing a new driveway alongside the construction of new boundary walls and a full garden turfing service. This combination would provide a balanced transformation, blending durable hard landscaping with fresh natural greenery.

For the driveway, we advised a full excavation and installation of a Type 1 MOT hardcore sub-base, compacted in layers to ensure long-lasting stability and effective drainage. The new walls would help frame the property neatly while improving privacy and structure, and the fresh turf would bring colour and life back into the garden area.

The Installation

The project began with the removal of the existing driveway surface and preparation of the garden areas. Once the site had been cleared, our team installed and compacted a solid Type 1 MOT sub-base to form a strong foundation for the new driveway.

The new driveway surface was then laid carefully and levelled to achieve a smooth, durable finish suitable for everyday use. Alongside this, we constructed the new walls, ensuring clean brickwork lines and a strong, well-defined boundary that complemented the style of the property.

The final stage of the project involved preparing the garden area for full turfing. The ground was levelled and treated before fresh turf was laid evenly across the entire space, creating a vibrant and natural finish that instantly enhanced the overall appearance of the property.

Once all works were completed, the site was fully cleaned and left neat and ready to enjoy.
